Optimization of brazing process and structure lightweight design for diamond microchannel

Abstract The application of diamond material significantly improves the heat dissipation capability liquid cooling microchannels, solving bottleneck problem for highly integrated electronic components and thus promoting development a new generation military equipment. In this study, microchannels with ultra-high flux density were reliably vacuum-brazed by using AgCuTi filler metal in high vacuum furnace. Microstructure properties brazing joints studied effect temperature time was analyzed. optimal process parameters obtained as follows: level <1×10 −5 Pa, 840°C, pressure 0.5–3 bars holding 10 min. Following vacuum-brazing experiment, residual stress working microchannel analyzed finite element simulation. wall thickness optimized. minimum thickness, which 0.4 mm, dimensions 14 mm × 1.3 mm. On that basis, influence on overflow studied. It showed when below 1 bar, from seam could be controlled to minimum, especially suitable precision. formation residues thereby avoided basically, sink good performance obtained.
